Garden tours 10 am – 5 pm, visit local nurseries, dinner and auction
This two-day event begins Friday, June 7. From 1-5 pm, you will be able to visit six IHS members’ gardens. Then at 6:00 pm, we will all gather at Grace Fishers Church, 12450 Olio Rd., Fishers, Indiana, where a catered dinner consisting of pulled pork or chicken, two hot sides, dessert, and drinks will be available. Immediately following at 7:00 pm, there will be an auction for all Great Lakes Regional Hosta Society (GLRHS) members.
All participants are heartily encouraged to contribute hostas, other companion plants, or garden items for the auction. The funds from this auction help support Hosta College, organized by the GLRHS.
Friday’s portion of the Tailgate is a GLRHS members-only event. While both the Friday and Saturday garden tours and the Friday evening auction are free to all GLRHS members, there is a $15 charge to cover the meal. The IHS is a member society of the GLRHS, therefore all IHS members belong to the GLRHS.
If you are not an IHS member but would like join, you can do so on the membership page then attendance to the Friday activities is open to attend.
Garden tours 9 am – 4:30 pm
On Saturday, June 8, from 9 am to 4:30 pm, there are seven different IHS members’ gardens open to tour. Most gardens will also feature different vendors where you may find special Hosta and unique garden items for your shopping pleasure. Members will be in the gardens to answer questions and to scan tickets.
NOTE: The Saturday gardens ONLY will also be open to the public. If you have friends and family that would like to tour the gardens, they will need to purchase a ticket for Saturday through the public Eventbrite portal. The Friday gardens are only open to IHS/GLRHS members.
There are plenty of great dining options located near each garden. Please be aware that no restroom facilities will be available at the gardens on either day, with the exception of a port-a-let at the Eagleson garden on Saturday.

Tickets are $15 per person, which covers both days tours, your dinner and auction.
